Sagne, Cane
Ephemeral shelter in Arles, inspired by Camargue huts.
Built from local sagne reeds and cane, this temporary structure offers protection from the powerful Mistral wind. Drawing on the form of traditional Cabanes de gardians, it celebrates local materials and craftsmanship. Designed to weather, degrade, and ultimately return to the landscape, it reflects the transient relationship between people, place, and nature.
