@capucine.boury I am a designer and sensory artist, fascinated by how matter, light, and movement shape perception and evoke emotions. My work lies at the intersection of art, design, and installation, focusing on creating tangible and immersive experiences.

I am particularly drawn to raw, marginal, or living materials—such as moss, bones, reeds, sagne, steel wool, and latex—chosen for their tactile qualities and the stories they tell, whether natural, artisanal, or industrial. These materials are never neutral: their textures, transformations, and reactions guide form, spatial organization, and the sensations they evoke.

My practice unfolds through objects, experimental furniture, sculptures, and immersive installations that explore light, water, sound, and movement. I aim to create environments where the viewer becomes attuned to details, where materials unfold as protagonists, and where perception is renewed. These installations engage delicate, sometimes fragile, sometimes surprising dynamics, inviting an intimate dialogue with matter and space.

Process is central to my work: it is built on experimentation, repetition, transformation, and observation. I embrace imperfections, accidents, and the unpredictable reactions of materials, which give rise to unexpected forms and new experiences. Gesture and time become essential components of creation, turning each project into a laboratory of sensations and shapes.

Through my research, I explore how hybrid or ambivalent materials which can generate interactions between sculpture, object, and environment. I seek to investigate the relationships between textures, light, and movement, creating situations that extend sensory experience and question the boundaries between natural and artificial, intimate and shared.
